Teresa Collins August 9th Classes!

    We are so excited to have Teresa Collins at The Island to teach THREE classes! All the details are listed below so be sure to click on the different pictures to see more details. All of Teresa's classes are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you can sign up anyway and she'll have a kit waiting for you to pick up the day of the class (or later). We can also ship kits to you. Call for shipping info. Sign up for all three of Teresa's classes and save $15! All three classes for only $165! If you sign up for all 3, then the "There is Time For Everything" class is 1/2 price! Only $15.00! Wed., July 16: Bo Bunny Bag Tags & Birthday Cards

    Time: 7-9pm. Instructor: Debbie Vaccaro. Cost: $25.00. In this class, you'll be making 2 birthday bags, a gift tin, library envelope tags and a paper sack card - all in one class! You'll never want to buy another birthday card! We'll be using the Bo Bunny "Hip Hip Horray" line of papers & cardstock stickers & more! Please bring your basic tool kit. *In order to receive a refund, you must cancel 7 days prior to the class. Kits will be available 5 days after class date.*

Tues., July 22: Scrapbooking 101; 7-9pm

    Cost: $25.00. Teacher: Debbie Vaccaro. Do you want to get started scrapbooking but don't know where or how to start? Are you overwhelmed by all the choices when you come in to shop? Do you have boxes of photos under the bed and don't know what to do next? Then this is the class for you! Participate in a one hour informative overview that will help you decide which adhesive, pens, albums and tools are for you. Then, make a great layout to take home and start your very own scrapbook. Questions are always welcome. If you have basic tools, please bring them. If not, don't worry. You can try different ones and decide that night. You will be getting a 10% discount on all purchases the night of the class. Cancellation Policy: In order to receive a full refund, you must cancel 7 days prior to the class. **Class kits will be available 5 days after the class date.**

Sat., July 26: All Day Crop; 10am-11pm; $35

    "Summer Hot Crop" All Day Crop! Time: Saturday, July 26 -10:00AM - 11:00PM Cost: $35.00 (Dinner, Snacks & Beverages provided) **Spend the day cropping and having fun with friends. We'll supply ample work space, air-conditioning, music, snacks. beverages and dinner. You supply enthusiasm, creativity, fun photos and projects to work on! You'll be on your own for breakfast and lunch for this crop. Sign up soon as this is our only July all day crop. It will be held in the large room across the breezeway. Doors open at 10am and it first come, first serve for seating. Sorry, but we cannot hold or reserve seats. *Cancellations: Cancellations MUST be made by 5:00 PM, Wednesday prior to the crop for a refund.

Wed., July 30: Scrapbooking 102; 7-9pm

    Cost: $25.00. Instructor: Debbie Vaccaro. Time: 7-9pm. Have you already taken Scrapbooking 101 (or have been scrapping for a while) and are wondering where to go from there? Then 102 is for you! In this class we will explore journaling, titles, ribbons & patterned papers. We'll make 2 Disney themed layouts. We will focus on measurements, embellishments & fun! Please bring your basic tool kit. Cancellation Policy: you must cancel 7 days prior to the class date to receive a full refund. **Kits will be available to pick up 5 days after the class date.*

Teresa Collins: "Summertime" Aug 9; 10a-1p

    Teresa's first class for the day is an awesome {Summer Time} Clear 8x8 Acrylic Album. Cost: $75.00. Date/Time: Sat., August 9, 10am-1pm (3 hours). In this "sun-sational" class, you'll create a CLEAR book to journal your summertime memories. You'll be using her "Boardwalk" line, chipboard letters and much, much more! We will then bind it using the "Bind it All". Please bring your basic tool kit (and your Bind it All if you have one). **This class is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, Teresa will have kits to purchase the day of the class.** Please call to sign up soon as space is limited and her class will sell out!

Teresa Collins: "Tavelogue" Mini Book: Aug 9, 2-6p

    Date/Time: Saturday, August 9; 2-6pm (4 hour class). In Teresa's 2nd class, you'll be making a one of a kind mini book that will capture your travel memories. Using Teresa's "Travelogue" travel line and a black bracket shaped chipboard mini album along with clear overlays, sparkly gems, chandelier book charms, chipboard accepts, stamping & more. Teresa will share her thoughts of capturing & journaling your travel experiences. We will bind and coil our book in class with the Bind it All. Please bring your basic tool kit and Bind it All (if you have one). **This class is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, Teresa will have kits the day of the class.** Call to sign up now as her classes always fill up fast!

Teresa Collins: "Time" Mini Journal, Aug 9, 6:30-8

    "There is Time for Everything" Mini Journal. Sat., August 9, 6:30-8pm. Cost: $30. **If you've signed up for Teresa's first 2 classes, this class will be only $15.00! Sign up for all three classes for $165.00!** In this class we will create a darling "mini-sized" journal of your family, friends, and the things that you spend your time doing. Using a clear sparkly acrylic book cover, this little book will have big impact! Using her "Journal-It" collection mixed with gems, gaffer tape and assorted embellishments, this journal book will document your favorite things. Book size is 3x4. We'll bind it in class using the Bind it All. Please bring your basic tool kit and Bind it All (if you have one). **This class is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, Teresa will have kits available the day of the class. Sign up soon for her classes or kits as her classes always sell out!**

Friday Nights "Crop in Paradise" 6:00-Midnight

    Every Friday night we have crops here at The Island. They begin promptly at 6:00 pm until midnight. The cost is $10 or purchase a Crop Card for $50 for 6 crops - you'll save $10! We do require a credit card to reserve all spots for Friday Crops. Cancellations: To receive a full refund, you must cancel by 5:00 p.m. the Wednesday prior to the crop you're signed up for. Also, please bring your own refillable water bottles. We have a cold water dispenser in the store and you are more than welcome to fill up your bottles as much as you want. We are "Going Green" and appreciate your contributions in helping our efforts. Also, if you have old Island shopping bags, please bring those as well! Thanks a bunch in advance and we'll see you at The Island! Aloha!

Flea Market Rules (Sat., Aug. 16, 10am-4pm)

  • 1. Register with Scrapbook Island to receive your code. 2. Items to be sold are restricted to embellishments, memory book materials, stamp/stamping supplies, books & magazines. 3. Mark all supplies with your code and price. Codes must be printed clearly using upper case letters only. 4. Price tags must be placed on top of all items, It may be necessary to cut a smaller tag for smaller items. Please make sure they are firmly attached. The last digits of any price must be a 0 or a 5. Shoppers are looking for bargains; if you want to sell your merchandise please price it accordingly. 5. Stamp sets, misc. products; inkpads, etc., should be placed in plastic bags, taped shut (not stapled). Any items with blades must be securely secured. Papers & stickers should be placed in groups in clean bags. Single sheet os paper or stickers will not be accepted. 6. Bring your items in disposable bags or boxes. We are not responsible for returning your containers. 7. Prices will not be lowered during the sale. 8. Please make a list of what you drop off. Keep one for yourself & give the other to Scrapbook Island. We will use this document to resolve any major discrepancies that may occur. 9. Brings your merchandise, list and a large paper bag to Scrapbook Island. This bag will be used for returning unsold items. 10. We will begin accepting items Monday, July 15. Last day to drop off is Monday August 4. We will not accept any goods after that time. 11. Payment and totals will be ready for pick up beginning Sept. 8. You must pick up your remaining merchandise during the week. After Sept. 15, all remaining goods will be donated. No further reminders will be given. 12. You may choose the payment option: cash (less 35%); or store credit certificate (less 20%). 13. Your $20 participation fee will be refunded at time of payment with your selected payment option as mentioned in item 12. 14. This is not intended for dealers. If you bring several new items that are identical, you may be classed as a dealer and therefore be ineligible to participate. 15. Sales tax will be charged on all items sold. 16. At the time of the pick up there will be a box available for donations. We wish you the best of luck if you choose to participate!

There are still a few spots left in our Flea Market...but very few!

If you haven't signed up yet for our flea market, do so today! We only have a few spots left and once they are full, that's it! The date of the flea market is Saturday, August 14, from 10am-4pm. There is a $20 participation fee to sign up. This fee will be refunded to you at the time of payment (either store credit or cash minus fees; see rules sheet for all details). Please stop by the store to see the rules and to sign up! Whether your buying, selling or both, this is an event you won't want to miss!

Sign up for our Flea Market...if you haven't already!

Our annual Flea Market is back! It'll be held Saturday, August 16 from 10am-4pm in the large crop space across the breezeway.

If  you have lots of papers, tools, totes, idea books...etc...stashed away that you no longer use, this is the event for you. Drop off your goods to the store (AFTER you've signed up) and we do the rest! No need to sit behind a table all day selling - we'll do that!

Call us to sign up today! We have limited space and it will fill up. Cost is $20 that is refundable at the end of the sale.

**If you've already signed up, we want to clarify that you will receive the $20 sign up fee at the end of the sale to be included in either your store gift certificate or included if you opt for cash.  If you sign up and don't bring anything in, the fee is non-refundable.

Or, if you are looking for some GREAT deals, be sure to come early! Past years, people have lined up before the doors open to be the first ones in! It's a LOT of fun!!

Yes, you heard (or read!) right! Our very popular FLEA MARKET will be back this summer! So, start going through your stash and weed out what you don't use any more and get ready to sell it. The flea market will be in mid August.

Please don't call to sign up just yet...as much as you want to! We haven't done all the pesky paperwork just yet, but we're so excited to tell you about it, we thought we'd post a quick blurb here! So start cleaning out your stash and make room for new goodies!

Kids Bored?...Then Sign Them Up For Our KIDS CAMP! July 7-11; 1-3:30pm

Tired of hearing "I'm bored", "there's nothing to do", "blah, blah, blah...", then sign up your 9-13 year olds for our scrapbooking KIDS CAMP! This camp will run Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11 from 1:00-3:30pm.
